RcustomBridal
How RcustomBridal increased their ecommerce traffic by 405% and appointment requests by 76% after re-branding, implementing a social media marketing plan, and launching their new website.
The Backstory
RcustomBridal is an atelier, custom-design, and alterations shop for the bridal industry. They recently added on an ecommerce side to their business selling wedding dresses. They are known in the bridal world for their expertise in fashion design. Some of the innovations they have designed have been jaw dropping beautiful!!
When Thara, owner and lead seamstress of RcustomBridal, reached out about a new website, they already had one created on Wix with one small page for their ecommece products using the Wix woo-commerce. They didn’t feel like their website represented their shop very well or the vision they had in their mind. They wanted to completely overhaul their site and also wanted to integrate some custom features and integrate Shopify to improve the shopping experience for their customers.
We worked with them on their UX and UI, ecommerce strategy and Shopify development and integration just in time for their big bridal tradeshow event!
Kind words from the client
“Before hiring Liz, our website looked extremely unorganized and difficult to navigate. We just started selling e-commerce and were getting no traffic because the page was hard to even find. I feel so happy and excited about the new site. Liz went above and beyond my dreams and knocked it out of the park. It now looks organized and clean for my clients and I love all the dynamic animation that makes the website feel more modern and alive. Liz was fantastic to work with, it is evident she is an expert at what she does. She was always quick to respond and answer any questions I had during the process. I would 100% recommend making this investment. Liz’s design expertise mixed with strategic approach really sets her apart and we are so happy we chose to work with her!

Phase 1 // Web Strategy & Objectives
We got together on a deep dive strategy call to understand the vision, goals and challenges so we could help RcustomBridal with some of their key goals:
1. Launching a rebranded e-commerce website in time for their bridal tradeshow event
The goal was to launch a new intuitive web and mobile experience in time for their big yearly tradeshow event where they would be meeting a lot of leads for the upcoming year. We wanted to craft a website that was simple, modern, and presented the creative atelier essence of the RcustomBridal brand.
2. Increase ecommerce store traffic and sales and integrate Shopify
We wanted to create an improved ecommerce shopping experience. Shopify Integration was the smart way to transition to since it has huge long-term product advantages for analytics, inventory management, and seamless checkout. We wanted to make sure each product had a detailed product page ensuring an intuitive, easy to use, and transparent shopping experience. We focused on optimizing a shopping experience that increased sales, conversions and was easy for new users to navigate.
3. Create a clear, trusting, and inviting homepage that didn’t leave customers confused
RcustomBridal homepage was very cluttered, confusing, and didn’t tell the story of who they were. It left customers not even knowing what they do or sell. We wanted to make sure the homepage was a hub for all the information one would need to know when visiting the site. We made sure to make it clear of who they were, what they do, and why they do it.
Phase 2 // Web Design
The website originally did not have a brand color palette that was consistent across website, marketing, and social media. The first step was creating the new brand colors. I chose one’s that were similar to the original design and logo, but had a bit more softness, elegance, and a modern take. After that, we updated the photos, copy, and overall messaging of the brand. We consulted and guided the website design to stay on track with the website strategy and to optimize it for their business objectives.
Phase 3 // Website Build & Hand-off
We got to have a lot of fun building some unique and interesting solutions on the website. Some key and fun features we built were:
A testimonials slider to build in social proof: We added to the social proof and showed reviews for specific services for brides and bridal parties.
Reworked the information architecture and improved navigation: We re-configured the navigation bar and site map in order to create a more intuitive flow with high-converting results.
More fun and modern content: Upgraded their photos and copy and sprinkled in videos for a more fun, dynamic, and modern approach to establish a consistent brand identity and connect with their target market.
Added a chat button: We added a chat button in the corner of the page to make it accessible for customers to have their questions or concerns answered.
